Awards and obligations

Prizes for the winning teams in the international group

40,000 TWD in total will be awarded to the student members of the first-place winning team.

20,000 TWD in total will be awarded to the student members of the second-place winning team.

10,000 TWD in total will be awarded to the student members of the third-place winning team.

The organizing committee will also grant several honorable mention certificates

Teams winning the first-place, second-place and third-place prizes will also receive medals as well as certificates issued by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan. Honorable mention certificates are issued by the organizing committee.

Based on consensus, the jury may choose not the grant some of the awards.

Must-Knows on receiving contest awards:

1.Group certificates and medals will be awarded at the end of the contest. All the individual certificates will be mailed to the supervisors afterwards.

2.Taiwanese Income tax shall be withheld for the cash award granted in accordance with the Taiwanese regulations. Participants of each group should coordinate with a representative to receive the cash award on behalf of all student team members. We will withhold income tax for the representative and remit the award.

The procedure of contest participation

1.The contest is divided into two stages: the preliminary round and the final round. 2.When registering, you need to select the contest group, fill out the registration form and upload the contest participation proposal in English to complete the registration procedures. Please refer to the proposal template in the competition website for the format.

3.The final round will be judged by online video presentations.

Scoring criteria

Scoring criteria for the preliminary round are as follows:

1.Innovation in system planning(40%) 2.Technical feasibility (30%) 3.Contents of the proposal (30%)

Scoring criteria for the final round are based on the

1.Novelty and practicality of the system planning in design (30%) 2.Technical difficulty (20%) 3.Completeness, coherence and function correctness of the work(20%) 4.System efficacy and soundness of demonstration(20%) 5.Soundness of the final report(10%)
